A personal diary, with a clear explanation of what stays on your device and what happens when you visit this website.
Updated 13 October 2026 · Pre-release information
Your pregnancy diary is kept locally. There is no TinyTaps account, cloud diary or advertising analytics. Apple and the website’s hosting provider still process information needed to provide their services.
What the app stores
TinyTaps stores the movements you choose to record, their times, your pregnancy and due-date settings, and any optional maternity contact details or care visits you enter. It also stores your colour choices, reminder preferences and purchase-access state. You can use the diary without creating an account.
These records are stored in the app’s local storage with iOS file protection. Protected access information, including the start of a free evaluation, is kept in the iOS Keychain. This helps the app remember access securely; it is not a TinyTaps online account.
TinyTaps does not send your movement records, due date, name or notes to a TinyTaps server. Local notifications are scheduled on your device. When you use supported widgets or a paired Apple Watch, a limited diary snapshot or a recording action can be shared through Apple’s on-device and paired-device mechanisms.
Backups, exports and device access
Apple device backups may contain app data, depending on your device and backup settings. Those backups are managed by Apple or by you; they are not a TinyTaps cloud sync service. Restoring a device backup, deleting the app or changing devices can affect which records remain available.
If you export your diary, you choose where it goes and who receives it. Exported files may no longer have the app’s storage protection. Keep your device passcode and shared files private. Deleting records in TinyTaps does not automatically remove copies you have exported or included in device backups.
Apple services
Apple provides operating-system, backup and store services under its own policies. TinyTaps keeps relevant StoreKit access information locally; it does not collect payment-card numbers. Apple processes account and service information under its privacy policy.
When you visit tinytaps.org
This is a static website hosted using Cloudflare. It has no sign-in, contact form, advertising analytics or TinyTaps visitor database. It does not read your app diary. The illustration demo changes an image on this page; it does not record a movement or create a pregnancy record.
Cloudflare may process your IP address, request headers and related technical information to deliver the website and protect its infrastructure. TinyTaps does not configure application visitor logging, analytics or custom access logs. Cloudflare’s own infrastructure and security processing is governed by its policies; we do not promise that a web visit produces no server data.
This site does not set analytics cookies or use browser storage to follow your activity. Your browser may cache website files. External links take you to another organisation’s website, whose privacy policy applies there.
Why this information is processed
Website delivery and security serve the legitimate interests of making a reliable, secure website available. When you contact support, we use the information you provide to respond to your request and resolve app issues. We do not use support requests to build an advertising profile.
Cloudflare, Apple and our email provider may process information in countries outside the UK. Their policies explain their international processing and protections. TinyTaps has no cloud pregnancy database to transfer. Any new service that changes this arrangement will be described before it is introduced.
If you contact us
When you contact support, the address and information you choose to send will be used to respond to your request. Please share only what is needed to explain an app issue. Do not email a complete pregnancy diary unless you have chosen to do so and understand that email is separate from the app’s protected local storage.
Support email is routed through Cloudflare to a Microsoft-hosted inbox. These providers process email information to deliver and store correspondence under their policies. Your app diary is not sent to them automatically.
Microsoft privacy statement (opens in a new tab)
Support correspondence will be kept while a request is being resolved and, where necessary, to investigate a recurring issue or meet an applicable legal obligation, then deleted or anonymised. No mailing list or marketing sign-up is currently offered.
Your choices and rights
You can change local preferences, turn off notification permission through iOS Settings, export your diary and remove records using the app’s available controls. You control Apple backups and account settings through your Apple account.
For personal information handled in support correspondence or website delivery, UK data-protection rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection, depending on the circumstances. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We will not imply that information exists on a TinyTaps server when it only exists on your device.
Who is responsible
TinyTaps is developed by Omar Choudhry (opens in a new tab). This page describes the app and website as they are being prepared for release. It will be updated if the services or information handling change.
